Market Context
Design
The feet are set almost as wide as the TV, and there's no alternate narrow position, so you need a big surface to put the TV on if y'all don't program on wall-mounting it. They back up the TV well and don't wobble much.
Footprint of the 65 inch stand: 49.eight" ten 12.0"
Wall Mount VESA 400x200
The back of the TV is plain. The pinnacle half is metal, while the bottom half is plastic. In that location's no cablevision direction, and some of the inputs are dorsum-facing, which isn't ideal if you want to wall-mount the TV as they're hard to reach.
Borders 0.50" (one.three cm)
Max Thickness two.44" (6.two cm)
The TV is relatively thin and shouldn't stick out much when wall-mounted.
The build quality is okay. It'due south a mix of metal and plastic, and while it doesn't feel especially premium, we didn't observe whatsoever bug with the structure except for a little fleck of flex bottom half of the dorsum panel. The stand supports the Tv set well and doesn't wobble much.

This TV has disappointing SDR summit brightness, and it's not bright enough to overcome glare in a brilliant room. Fortunately, in that location'due south very niggling variation in peak brightness with different content.
We measured the SDR meridian brightness after calibration in the 'Calibrated Night' Picture Mode, with Gamma set to 'ii.2', and Color Temperature set to 'Warm'.
If prototype accuracy isn't as important to you lot as height brightness, the 'Brilliant' Picture mode is a flake brighter; withal, the divergence isn't really noticeable, as it just goes up to 226 cd/m² in the fifty% window.

The HDR peak brightness is bad. It's not bright enough for small specular highlights to stand up out, resulting in a rather flat, boring prototype. The EOTF follows the PQ curve relatively well, with a sharp curlicue-off towards its peak brightness, merely most scenes aren't quite equally brilliant as they should exist.
We measured the HDR peak brightness before scale in the 'Calibrated Night' Picture Style, with Gamma set to ii.ii, and Color Temperature set to 'Warm'.
If you lot find HDR content too dim, you lot can make it brighter past setting the Picture Mode to 'Calibrated Dark', Gamma to '1.8', Color Temperature to 'Standard', Local Contrast to 'High', Backlight Control to 'On', and Blackness Detail to 'High'. These settings result in a brighter image, as you can see in this EOTF.

50% Std. Dev. iii.948%
50% DSE 0.222%
5% Std. Dev. ii.618%
5% DSE 0.133%
Gray uniformity on our unit is mediocre. At that place's vignetting at the corners and a fair amount of dirty screen effect (DSE) in the center. The DSE is slightly better in nighttime scenes, simply the backlight drain is much more noticeable. Annotation that gray uniformity can vary between individual units.
Native Std. Dev. 0.792%
Std. Dev. w/ Fifty.D. N/A
Blackness uniformity on our unit is corking. At that place's a bit of clouding at the bottom of the screen, and some backlight bleed forth the edges. Note that black uniformity can vary between private units.

Screen Stop Semi-gloss
Full Reflections four.4%
Indirect Reflections 0.6%
Calculated Directly Reflections 3.8%
This Tv set has proficient reflection handling. The semi-gloss cease doesn't lengthened direct reflections very well, though, then vivid lights can yet exist distracting. Since this TV can't get very bright, visibility tin still be an issue in a bright environment.
White Residue dE 3.35
Color dE 2.39
Gamma ii.19
Colour Temperature six,121 M
Picture Mode Calibrated Nighttime
Color Temp Setting Warm
Gamma Setting two.2
This TV has skilful accurateness out of the box, simply this can vary between individual units due to manufacturing tolerances. The white residue is decent, simply brighter shades of gray are a bit off. Colors are great for the most part, except for yellows, which might be noticeable with some content. Gamma is pretty shut to our two.2 scale target for a nighttime room, only bright scenes are over-brightened a flake.
White Balance dE 0.31
Colour dE 1.57
Gamma 2.22
Color Temperature 6,481 K
White Balance Calibration 20 bespeak
Color Scale Yes
After calibration, the overall accurateness of this Idiot box is outstanding. White balance is almost perfect, and the color temperature is almost spot-on our 6500K target. Yellows are much better, but there are nevertheless hard-to-spot inaccuracies with a few colors. Gamma is better, except that vivid scenes are now too night.
Y'all can see our recommended settings here.
Upscaling of 480p content, like DVDs, is decent, only it's a fleck worse than most 4k TVs on the market.

DCI P3 xy 74.99%
DCI P3 uv 80.68%
Rec 2020 xy 53.88%
Rec 2020 uv 58.82%
This Boob tube has a decent colour gamut, but it can't display a broad color gamut for HDR content. Coverage of the DCI P3 colour space used by virtually current HDR content is good, only information technology can't display the full range of any of the primary colors. Coverage of the wider Rec. 2020 color space is disappointing, so it'due south non very futurity-proof.
Normalized DCI P3 Coverage ITP seventy.five%

Normalized Rec 2020 Coverage ITP 51.five%
10,000 cd/one thousand² Rec 2020 Coverage ITP 17.7%
This Television has a mediocre color volume, by and large due to its lack of a wide color gamut. Saturated blues aren't very brilliant, and despite the high dissimilarity ratio, it can't brandish saturated colors at low luminance levels very well.

Green (Std. Dev.) 0.098
Blue (Std. Dev.) 0.089
